Colin Tennent

Colin Tennent

Chairman

Colin has spent his career in the field of energy and facilities management, in a number of leadership roles. From his initial appointment as a Director of the GSH Group in 1992, he helped grow the UK business before taking up leadership roles in Mainland Europe and the USA. On returning to the UK as CEO he led the business through an IPO and listing on the AIM market in 2005.

With a passion for finding and developing talented people, Colin is helping steer the strategic direction of the Thermatic Group, as the company continues to develop technology led solutions to building owners and managers. Colin also serves as a Board Member at the Salford Foundation.

Colin has a degree in Energy Engineering from Edinburgh Napier University and in his spare time likes to get back to Scotland, to enjoy the outdoors, hillwalking and cycling.

Paul Douglas-Fleet

Paul Douglas-Fleet

Group Finance Director

Paul is a chartered accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He originally trained in Audit and Advisory services with Deloitte before moving away from practice into several leadership roles across a range of sectors.

Paul has significant experience within private equity backed businesses with a focus on both organic and acquisitive growth. Paul is focussed on developing a next generation finance team at Thermatic that delivers value and insight to the business.

Paul has a first-class degree in Mathematics from Liverpool University and in his spare time enjoys watching rugby and walking with his border collie.

Jen Johnson

Jen Johnson

Managing Director
Thermatic Energy

Although Jen started her professional career in finance within a building controls business in the north, she quickly found an interest within energy and building management, moving into a customer facing role, creating energy management solutions for a wide range of clients.

From there Jen focused on training up in this field, specifically around remote monitoring and other cost reduction technologies. She relocated to London in 2014, heading up the customer support business development team for SSE Enterprise Energy Solutions. In the following years Jen worked with energy performance contracts, BEMS and Remote technologies at BMSI as Head of Energy Solutions.

Jen joined the Thermatic team in early 2020, to head up Thermatic Energy Services and continue to push the boundaries of energy management and build a strong team of industry experts to support both existing and future Thermatic clients.

Jen often speaks at green tech events and is passionate about bringing women into engineering. In her free time, she enjoys camping, hiking and travelling with her young family.

Jack Prady

Jack initially occupied the role as a time served building services engineer and progressed in a variety of leadership roles within the FM industry. Over the course of his career, Jack’s desire to move the FM industry forward has continued to intensify, becoming familiar with tackling greater challenges that create opportunities for innovation, and deliver value in ways that makes a difference to people’s daily lives. Prior to joining Thermatic, Jack was Operations Director for a global leader in construction and facility management, whilst being recognised as Account Director of the Year in 2021.

Passionate about making a difference, Jack is responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to Thermatic Technical, as the company continues to collaborate with its stakeholders, evolve and enhance technology led solutions to current and new customers.

In his spare time, Jack thrives off challenge, over recent years, he has supported the Christie Charity with a 24 hour run and completed 7 marathons in 4 days.

Gary Boon

Gary Boon

Managing Director
Thermatic Homes

Gary’s professional career began in financial services before moving to a national utility company in 2002 to support the delivery of central heating sales in the North West. Demonstrating great success and adaptability in an ever-changing industry, Gary eventually led both the sales and installation divisions, particularly focused on the coaching and development of his team.

In 2020, utilising his expertise in heating and insulation, Gary moved into delivering home improvements under both ECO3 and the Green Homes scheme.

Joining Thermatic Homes in June 2022, Gary, as Managing Director, redirected the business towards ECO4. Invested in the ethos of the ECO schemes, Gary has built a strong and sustainable business that continues to grow and adapt to support homes across the UK.

In his personal life, Gary enjoys a whole range of sports, particularly golf and rugby league, and spending quality time either on holiday in the sun or enjoying nice food with his friends and family.

Jen Buckley

Jen Buckley

Director of People
and Culture

Jen started her career as a Graduate Manager in a leading UK retailer, but transitioned into HR, driven by her passion to engage with and empower the people around her.

Jen joined Thermatic in 2021 and during her time has demonstrated a commitment to aligning HR practices with operational goals, enhancing employee engagement, and optimising the overall workplace experience. Her leadership has played a pivotal role in shaping Thermatic's culture and driving its success.

As a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), Jen brings a wealth of knowledge and strategic insight to her role.

Outside of work, Jen enjoys staying active, spending time outdoors with her family and travelling.

Rachael Crozier

Rachael Crozier

Director of Health & Safety

After earning a degree in Medical Biochemistry, Rachael explored leadership roles in high-profile hospitality groups. Her success in implementing systems in high pressure and demanding workspaces prompted a career change to Health and Safety.

Following a role with a national H&S consultancy, she joined Thermatic in 2023, bringing diverse practical expertise from a wide range of sectors. Providing the group with detailed knowledge of H&S legislation and best practice, she is a firm advocate that the engagement of people and the consultation of both employees and clients is the sign of a good Health and Safety culture.

As a Certified Member of IOSH, she's pursuing Chartered status through their IPD program and concurrently reading for an MSc in Safety, Health, and Environment. Rachael's key strategic goal for Thermatic is the further development and implementation of H&S standards across all levels of the business.
