The Company
Thermatic Maintenance Limited has undergone a process of systematic and controlled expansion over recent years, which has taken the company from a turnover of £1.6 million in 1997 to £9.3 million in 2005. With the ongoing support of its parent company Market House Limited, Thermatic aims to, and has put systems in place, in order to extend this growth to achieve a turnover of £25 million by 2012.

From a Heating, service and maintenance company, Thermatic has successfully broadened its client base over recent years by extending the range of services offered by the company, whilst maintaining its reputation for excellence. This expansion, rather than being directed by intensive sales and marketing schemes, has been jointly driven by the increasing requirements of Thermatic's clients for the quality of service provided by the company, as well as Thermatic's own desire to further the company's capability to fulfil the entire range of these needs. Thermatic has thereby developed into a unique multifaceted organisation offering a complete range of services to its clients, from conceptual to detailed design, through the construction phase and on into facility provision. This includes all aspects of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Plumbing, Mechanical and Electrical Building Services.

This unique, turn-key solution eliminates the traditional inconveniences of dealing with multiple parties who possess conflicting ideas and priorities, and provides Thermatic's clients with a hassle-free, full provision of services, which is both more efficient and cost-effective. Thermatic also offers its clients the flexibility to adopt its services at the stage which suits their specific requirements; whether this be at the planning stage, the design and build phase, the installation point, or during the facilities provision period, providing ongoing service and maintenance.

These developments have necessitated not only an expansion of Thermatic's Head Office site in Manchester, from 1,500ft² in 1997 to 10,000ft² in 2005, but also an increase in staff, which total around 70 at present. Thermatic has always recognised that outstanding service can only be supplied by first-rate employees who feel content and valued in their working environment. A fundamental priority for Thermatic is therefore to employ and retain the highest quality of staff the industry has to offer. Thermatic achieves this objective by valuing its employees and spending significant time and investment on their interests. For instance, the company maintains an effective staff structure, offers opportunities for advancement within the company, provides ongoing support and training, consistently rewards excellent service with incentives and benefits, and supplies an extremely positive working environment. As a result, Thermatic is able to supply its clients with an optimum team, selected from the company's extensive range of expert staff covering its entire range of services, which is continually evaluated and adjusted, to fit the precise needs of each client and each individual project at every stage in the project's development.

In addition to the company's two directors, three key staff members have been assigned to lead the three main areas of the company: Nicky Jones as the General Manager of Finance, John Royal as the General Manager of Administration and Mike Butler as the General Manager of Operations. These senior positions form a five-person management team, which along with the full complement of staff managed by the team, facilitate the efficient and effective operation of the entire company.
